Welcome to Metadata View (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Service”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of metadataview.com and any related services.
By accessing or using Metadata View, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
Metadata View allows you to upload files to view, edit, or remove metadata. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
By using Metadata View, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU)
- Are legally permitted to agree to these Terms
- Will not abuse or misuse the Service
2. File Uploads & Processing
You retain full ownership of the files you upload.
By uploading a file, you grant us permission to:
- Temporarily store the file during processing
- Extract, modify, or remove metadata as you request
- Delete the file immediately after processing
We do NOT:
- Claim ownership of your files
- Store files after processing
- View or share your files
- Analyze file contents beyond executing your requested operation
All files are automatically deleted after processing.
3. Prohibited Uses
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
Illegal content
- Upload or process files that violate any law
- Upload copyrighted media without authorization
- Upload files containing unlawful, harmful, or exploitative content
Abusive behavior
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload the Service
- Bypass security or rate limits
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to abuse the system
- Perform actions that degrade service quality for other users
Malicious purposes
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Probe or reverse-engineer the platform
Violation of these rules may result in termination of access.
4. No Storage or Backups
Metadata View does not store uploaded files or maintain backups.
Files exist on our server only long enough to complete processing (typically milliseconds). If you close the page or lose your file, we cannot recover it.
5. Ads, Analytics & Third-Party Services
Your use of the Service may involve interactions with:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- Datadog
- Cloudflare
- DigitalOcean
These parties may collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service constitutes acceptance of their terms as well.
6. No Warranty
Metadata View is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee:
- That the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- That files will be processed correctly
- That metadata removal will be complete or permanent
- That the Service is free of viruses or handling errors
Use the Service at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metadata View and its owner (Christian Saldana) are not liable for:
- Loss or corruption of files
- Inaccurate or incomplete metadata results
- Damage caused by reliance on outputs
- Losses due to downtime, bugs, errors, or security issues
- Loss of revenue, profits, or data
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.
8. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have legal rights to upload your files
- Backing up your original files
- Understanding the implications of altering or removing metadata
- Complying with all laws applicable to your actions
We do not provide legal advice or guarantee legal compliance.
9. Changes to the Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification or discontinuation.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any legal disputes must be resolved in courts located in Texas.
